Sharing HOPE
At the Center of Hope our vision is to love and serve our neighbors who are hungry, hurting, in need, or in crisis. By glorifying God and demonstrating His love as the only true source of hope we know that real change is possible for those who are in desperate situations.
The Center of Hope is an independent and unaffiliated 501C3 nonprofit organization that serves primarily in Genesee, Shiawassee, Livingston, and Oakland Counties (Fenton, Holly, Linden, Argentine, Gaines, Byron, Durand, Highland, Harland, Mundy Township, Grand Blanc). Our goals are accomplished with the help and cooperation of many churches (denominations), businesses, and organizations who share a heart for our neighbors and communities.
How the Center of Hope serves the community:
- The Free Choice Market, a community food pantry where guests choose their own groceries.
- The Parenting Program, where parents and caregivers receive mentoring, education and access to the Baby Closet. The Baby Closet provides baby clothes, formula, diapers and baby equipment.
- Emergency Housing for women and children fleeing abuse. The center of Hope is in the process of finishing the first two emergency housing units. 16,000 square feet of space will be added.
- Education. Classes and small groups on a wide range of topics including Life Skills, relationship skills, job skills, parenting, and faith. -
