About
Founded by Jason Warda and his family, The Warda Foundation is a local charitable foundation dedicated to giving back to the community that supports them. Supported by his three local businesses, The Warda foundation’s primary purpose is to help under privileged children and families in need in the local area. The Barn, The Ponemah Lakeside Lodge, and The Fenton Pub all help to support and host various events put on by the foundation throughout the year. Some of these amazing events include the Thanksgiving CommUNITY Lunch and Project Santa. The Thanksgiving lunch, first held in 2014, offers a free, hot meal to anyone in need in the area, as well as give them a space to spend their day with others. Last year alone, we were able to serve 121 meals! Project Santa in another one of our biggest annual events. Project Santa provides gifts to children and families in need, as well as the kids at Whaley Children's Center, in an attempt to brighten their holiday experience. Local families and organizations can reach out with children’s wish lists, in which we do our best to accommodate. Last year we reached a new goal, brightening the day of 183 children! Although Jason Warda owns three bars, he takes a strong stance against drinking and driving, and promotes drinking responsibly. The Fenton Bar Hopper Bus provides free transportation between a handful of Fenton bars to fight against drunk driving, and is fully funded by The Warda Foundation. Through our efforts, we have been able to make strides towards bettering the Fenton area.
